THE FL Dept. of State incorporated FRIENDS OF EVERGLADES CISMA, Inc. (FOE) on May 6, 2013. FOE received its Florida Solicitation License from the FL Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services (FDACS) on June 6, 2013. FOE earned the IRS tax-exempt application fees (FORM 1023 i.e. 501(c)(3) application) and money for other expenses through T-shirt sales and a Silent Auction at the July 24/25 2013 10th Annual ECISMA Summit.

January 1, 2013 – Effort began to complete Articles of Incorporation & Bylaws

April 17, 2013 – Articles of Incorporation & Bylaws signed

May 6, 2013 – Incorporation: State of Florida

June 6, 2013 – Received FL Solicitation License

July 24/25, 2013 – Silent Auction for tax-exempt status application fees

August 2013 – Application submitted for tax-exempt status

August 29, 2013 – FOE’s tax-exempt status is approved
